E'Twaun Moore will join his buddy JaJuan Johnson on Monday in Boston, the two ready to embark on another journey together. The Celtics drafted Purdue University's top two scorers in Thursday's NBA Draft, trading for Johnson with the 27th pick and nabbing Moore with the 55th selection.
The two combined for 4,055 points, 214 wins and 280 games for the Boilermakers and now they will come to Boston hoping to make an impact and become part of the team's core beyond the Big Three. Moore, an East Chicago, Ind. native, said he felt positive about his pre-draft workout with the Celtics and was thrilled about the opportunity to play with his longtime teammate.
"It was just crazy," Moore said by phone. "There was a big smile on my face like 'Wow, again, we're going to be together. And it's definitely good because we got a good relationship. For us to go to the same team is definitely great."
